I think people could safely bid on it on eBay, as long as you pay by PayPal you’re protected anyway. As I said not a person I would like to deal with, but I don’t think you have to worry about being scammed through eBay, and at least you could buy it without having to talk to him

The part I'm most confused with is

Why not just list the items on ebay in first place. you can put on auction or if you know what the value is, BIN and it's not like you have to loose much in fees when they just done days of £1 fee offer so £1 and what ever in Paypal fees

Don't understand why you would want to stir things up again trying to sell here through another person when there you have Facebook, Gumtree and Ebay along with other sites

If the items listed on ebay then bid if you want them is what I would suggestSmile

No worries mate, still helpful for people to know it’s him on eBay, most people probably won’t want to deal with him. But I have every faith in PayPal’s buyer protection. I sell quite a lot on eBay and from my experience it’s easier for the buyer to scam the seller and use PayPal to get the money back!
One example, I sold a near mint N64 game on there (looked like brand new). Packaged it in a massive box well protected. The buyer changed his mind said he wanted to return it. I said I don’t accept returns as it said in the listing, but if he wanted to he’d have to pay the original postage and return postage as there was nothing wrong with it. Then he deliberately trashed the box and started an “item not as described” case. eBay made me take the return, sent him a returns label and charged me for it, and gave him a full refund, including the original postage fee. When I got the game back it looked like he’d thrown it round the room and bashed it against things, there was even paint rubbed on to the dents where it’d hit the wall or something. But he got all his money back, because he used the PayPal buyer protection scheme, which looks after buyers, but does nothing to help sellers.

I'm pretty sure they are two different people. However I'm also sure Ritchie100 is reading this. I'm going to lock the thread as I'm pretty confident they are really two separate people. They are friends though, which isn't a crime, bit just in case some of this stuff is shared ownership I think it's best to just bid for the bits you want on eBay. I'm sure you will get your stuff fine, and it removes any forum complications as Ritchie100 is still sensitive about the whole situation.
