Hey! Thought you might like this recent pickup, the Amiga 500 based Arcadia Super Select System or Electrochoice when Electrocoin came to distribute it here.

I’m now looking for an Electrocoin Elite or Barline cab to give it an authentic UK housing. The US cab that this CO and marquee came from was a monstrosity.

If anyone has one please get in touch, thanks!

Can you check what games you have, rockford is still Mia but was play tested. I still have a single game version of it with leaderboard golf on.

I'd be interested in seeing this running.

I've had a backplane and game boards for a long time. When I tried pairing it with an A500 board, I couldn't get it to boot. I'm still not sure if it is faulty or if I just didn't have it wired up properly.

I do remember the machines being advertised in Ace magazine back in the day. Great late 80's magazine !. It covered all home computers, and they reviewed arcade games too.

Considering the Elite is pretty rare they do seem to come up for sale quite often although most have added buttons on the cp. There was one on here a couple of months ago, don't know if it sold. Just do a search and ask. I've got one myself but it's not for sale unfortunately.

Thanks for asking about. I’d certainly be interested if one comes up. Failing that if anyone has one we could stencil to make a new one that would work too

Wish I'd bought one years back when they used to come up for sale, though only game I was interested in was Ninja Mission, used to like that on the C64, got it for Amiga though so can just play on those and it was space for another cab, very cool though

The system is now alive after some traces got damaged in shipping and a lot of head scratching. Picking up an Elite cab tomorrow thanks to Dave R for selling it to me, and we can bring it all together for a complete working system.

Thanks for posting this. It is good to see what is supposed to happen on boot.

Does your A500 board have any visible modifications, such as jumer wires or missing ROM chip ?.
I ask because I have a backplane board and cartridge boards that I plugged into a stock A500 board. Mine just boots to the usual kickstart screen. I've always wondered if there is anything I need to do to get it to boot from the expansion board ROM.
