Hi

While trying to get my Street Fighter 2 board working mentioned in the thread below while adjusting the voltage the power supply decided to go kaboom.

After taking it apart the best way I can describe it is that a THYRISTOR has quite literally blown out its own arse and taken the PCB in that area with it as its been repaired before as you can see in the pictures linked below.

I have no issues taking it apart or removing and replacing parts but im struggling to find out the exact part I need to replace it with.

Looking on the part in question it says the following.

ST TYP 212 C840P

Looking at the parts list for the US 250 linked below all it says is THYRISTOR TYP 212

Looking around on ebay there seems to be quite a few variants and I have no idea which one is suitable.

Could anyone point me in the right direction of which part to order please.
