I have now just seen the page explaining the cost of postage, I'll shut up now.

But can the mounting be removed from the back to install different joysticks?

Have now got my new Control Panel, It comes fitted (spot welded on) with mounts for the Sanwa JLF type joysticks.

I was wanting to to use the Sanwa JLW joysticks from Ultimarc.

Does anyone know if these can be fitted to this type of mount?

If the joystick mount looks like this:

then a JLW will fit fine.

Looks like jlf only, the JLW's Base is too big for that mount, my blast city panel is the same.

Ok as things are getting closer to me having everything I need to do this, I find myself asking is there a power button to switch the monitor on? or is it just the mains switch at the back of the cab?

Does anyone know if the light and starter in the cab are just standard strip light?

Thanks, Have just wired my cab up plugged it in hid behind the dog and looked to see what was what.

The light flashes every now and then but the starter arcs all the time.
the box on mine says it's a 110v not 250v

Thats why I was asking.

sounds like you need a new starter, or possibly a new bulb but i would try the starter first as they dont cost as much   Smile

Yes, the balast and starter are 110V instead of 220. It's very common for sega consoles.
Another difference people usually overlook is that the ballast is usually made for 60Hz instead of 50Hz. Due to that, the lamps die faster than they should. You can find starters for 110V in europe like the ST 151. Those where used in armatures with 2 lamps and only one ballast. Every lamp had it's own 110V starter. If one of the lamps went bad, you most of the time had to replace both of them as an old and new one didn't work well together in such a setup.

Well I have to make a trip to maplins today as I ran out of wire when I was wiring up the control panel, so will see if they have any when I'm in.

Yeah It's complete to a point no game board etc as is being built as a mame system.

I have the PC in connected to the screen nice and bright but do need to fix the size, need to go into the loft and look at what I have for audio. Also finish wiring up the I-PAC2 install and configure it.

All that missing just now is the marquee light (and the speakers, they have been ordered), a marquee holder, some screws and the screw covers.
