Reminds me of those massive 'granny' remotes that Maplins sell.

That's really awful, I can only think the people buying this kind of stuff are the people who rent out TV prop items?
ooooooh if I had the space (and the money) I'd have that...

I used to fix these things for a living.
I would buy that for my consoles in a flash if I had the space

Or an Atari 2600. The matching wood grain would really tie the room together.

How about the wired remotes?
The joy of inserting 2 AA`s and sitting back knowing that you could flip between 3 channels without getting up,but at any moment your Mum/Wife/kids/siblings  could deck it on the wire?
I also noticed that Grundig is colour..I think we had black and white till 1980 :)

Don't think we got colour until about '82. My Nan had a 2 (or maybe 4) button sonic remote. If you held it to your ear, you could just about hear a high pitch scream sound.

Remember my Grandma having a GRundig with a remote like that, we were all amazed at the time, had never seen anything like it, was like magic, lol.

Must have been earlier than that one, had no scart or teletext.

I remember getting our first colour TV as a kid and it came with a remote that only had one button on it. My Dad would never put a battery in it so we could use it, he acted like it was witchcraft or something Smile.

I knew somebody who had one of these, these were standard issue from the 'radio' rental and decent quality - especially the later flat screen models.. I recall the euroscart not being fully compatible with, well anything.
