I'm trying to remove the sword buttons from my Dragon's Lair II CPO but the microswitch is wider than the plastic tightener.

Any ideas on how to get the button out without damaging anything?

pull or twist the white switch holder out the button assembly, squeeze the button tabs into the tube, then undo the retaining nut.
should do it.

That's like on starpoint buttons, the white lower section snaps out of the button, it's made to lock in very tightly so will feel like it doesn't want to move at first!

Thanks, I got them out.

One came out quite easy, the other one was brittle and snapped Shocked So that was fun getting the rest of it out.

I have some spare bits on order so can easily replace the broken one.

Just two more nuts to remove off this control panel before I can scan it in.

Anybody got tips to remove nuts that spin the bolts?
