Thanks fella, they were not cheap, but it was a couple of mates who just got a load of stuff new old stock (including AES Consoles, PC Engine GT, dev kits etc) and these were with them.

They sold me the pair for less than they got offered for Slug 5 on its own as we have done a fair few deals over the years.

Going to get some spare MVS for sale on here once Covid clams down enough for me to think of going to the post office.

Cool. Looking at getting a Ringedge next. Other than the SSD mods, is anything else special required to set it up?

You can try to get a RingEdge 2  mobo between ¥2000 and ¥15000 from this seller : https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/seller/ma1024realspeed

The prerequisite :
- A RingEdge or RingEdge 2 mobo ;
- "RE2_Multiv0.2042020FINAL.img" 112 GB Multigame file to install ;
- Niko's Multi RE1 C drive patch if you use a RingEdge 1 mobo ;
- A PC with Win XP or above (+ a Linux distribution) to install the Multigame to a SSD and lock/unlock that one ;
- a soft like HDD Raw Copy Tool to install the Multigame image to a SSD ;
- a soft like Victoria (Windows) or Hdparm (Linux) to lock/unlock the SSD ;
- and, at last, one of the three following 120 GB SSD compatible with the use of the Multigame :
PNY CS900 120GB SSD - (SSD7CS900-120-RB) * ATA Key: 0242826a1253ca5bf242ea78d263524ab213d22a0a460be66a467f865c8a5a86
Inland Professional 120GB SSD - (4335233676) * ATA Key: 324152498a530248ea42fa4aca42da4a2a223a2a0a221a2a6a027a0a4a025a0a
Crucial BX500 120GB SSD - (CT120BX500SSD1) * ATA Key: 3250aa589242b259f273627b2273da4a2a223a2a0a221a2a6a026b6e5bce4b86
