Whats the deal with this geezer then? before my time in VAC

XY-Man started UKVAC in late 2006. In the beginning, all UKVAC emails he received, he simply forwarded them to everyone else in the group. Then he moved it to eGroups, which then became Yahoo! Groups.

Then he (pretty much) disappeared.

There's much, much more to the story of UKVAC, which the oldtimers have in their heads. It would make a cracking round-table discussion. Perhaps at the next Slam. Or, maybe just in the bar...

Before my time, but I'm guessing 1996, not 2006

I thought I had a knack of squeezing cabs in but thats pretty good for a regular house.

The reason the house is packed to the gills with machines is because Paul was emigrating to the US, so the contents of his house had already gone, so there was a period of 3 weeks where Paul moved his collection into his house to fill it up and called an exceptionally good meet, then pulled them all out again and put into storage for the next 10 years before he could containerise them and move them to the US!

I love the fact that the last time it was plugged in was before I got it 12 years previously

Brilliant video. I really enjoyed watching it, althoughI could only identify a few people who were there like Pman, Chad, Paul Swan, JT, XY-Man, Bazfish, D-type, Rav, James Watt,

Who else was there?

I was there, I appear @13:30 following Chris Hardy & Chad in through the door (my word, I had hair!).

IIRC Rav etc were late because they decided to do an east coast resort raid for cabs and stuff, I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.

Trev is a legend, he doctored the camcorder to stop the recording LED from lighting up so JT didn't know he was being filmed in the car.

I'm still working my way through all the 0.156" 36/44/56 way connectors I bought at that meet!

Alas the tour T-Shirt bit the duster drawer last year, someone should do a re-issue! DOG?

Does anyone have an ebook of the book about arcade collecting JT was writing? I'd love to read it

So - was JT a 'proper' collector before he was bitten and infected by a rabid bell end dog?

I'll look at the video tonight, as I'm supposed to be working now.

I was there, in fact I think it was me playing the Spy Hunter relentlessly but it was a long time ago...
