Chase HQ is one of my all time favourite games - in fact it's one of the few cabs I've restored and actually kept for several years if you can believe it
I had no idea there had been a proper sequel until I saw some promotional kit at the Unigame arcade, no cabs have ever shown up for sale in all the time I've been collecting, and I was starting to think it was gonna be impossible to find one.
It turns out there was good reason they are never seen - the word from Electrocoin themselves is that less than 50 were ever made, so they truly are a rare sight indeed, I know of 2 cockpits and have only seen the upright on an Electrocoin promo picture.
Even the flyer shows the cab with no art, so it obviously hadn't been finished when this went out.
Here's one on site in Belgium I think. Like above, missing a lot of the artwork.
I'm please to say that yesterday I managed to do a deal on one, and a damn nice one it is too. The upright has full artwork, and force feedback steering - plus a button to turn off the siren - which if anyone has ever seen this game running will know can be more than a little annoying!
It needs some attention as the feedback psu is missing, but that shouldn't be a problem to sort, and it should hopefully be up and running soon, then it can go and sit next to it's older brother
I've taken a few pics as there's almost no info around on these cabs, so guess I can change that.
It's Taito TypeX2, so JVS wired. 23" Happ LCD monitor which means it's not as deep as usual cabs. It has wide chrome piping instead of t-molding which is cool.
