Hello,

Here I have an Kortek KTN-1701 monitor chassis. The main board looks the same like the KTN-2001/1401 but the neckboard is different (mini neck).

If I somehow manage to find another neckboard, will this chassis replace an mtc9000? I might have to swap out some capacitors in the horizontal circuit I guess. Some are different from the KTN-2001 schematics.

I hope that someone knows his way around this things better than me.

Thanks.

Yes it dose have holes for another type but I doubt that it will fit. Worst case I'll have to rewire another crt socket. But before I begin I want to know if it's worth the time. I only have hantarex monitors.

I had a go now with an 10" Samsung CRT and I get a briliant picture. The CRT was paired with an mtc9000.
So this chassis is a drop in replacement for an Hantarex. For different sizes there are some capacitors that needs swaping. Hopefully I'll get another neckboard in the next weeks and can do further tests.
