Mistercade works nice in a cab but no dice if I try and output over HDMI (tried 3 different displays). Using the HDMI socket next to Red Dipswitches.

Also only able to get vga output on 1 of my 3 vga monitors.

Am I doing something stupid??

Yeah probably straightforward but I’m a dumbass when it comes to software.

If anyone can tell me exactly where to change it that would be ideal!
Look for settings/
Video settings/
Switch to 640x480
Or switch video out to hdmi ,

Just a guess but it would be something like that ..
And you would most likely need to re configure it back before being able to use low res arcade monitor…

I think there are video output options on the mister remote app. Probably best to do on there as you can amend settings even when no display on screen.

Otherwise Putty into mister over SCP and edit the .ini file.

It might be worth looking at the Mistercade documentation first to check outputs. I know one of the HDMIs is simply a SNAC port for example.

Also I saw the the vga ports on each side are different, one is consumer level and one is 3v.

I haven’t used my mistercade for anything other than for gaming in my Jamma cab so don’t have experience with diff resolutions etc, sorry.

I’ve seen YouTube vids of people playing it on 15khz in a cab with a hdmi out to tv simultaneously. Not sure why mine doesn’t just do that.

I can see a ‘settings’ menu as such.

There’s scripts and when you go to video settings it cycles through some process and spits you back out.

The setting menu is your ini file.

Careful with those scripts, some of them are outdated or redundant.

You need to either use a text editor in windows to change settings, or use the remote app.
