Outrunners Side Art - Which Way?

Right round 2 of artwork has arrived, and this time my cab is too big! doh!

First lesson learned, measure your bloody cab and find out how big the artwork your buying is before anything else!

Anyhow I am going to have make some cuts to it I guess, I've badly mocked up some pics, which looks best?

I think Version 1 is probably the way I am going to loose the least.

In all honesty I wouldn't put it on dude.and just wait for the right art to turn up.

hmm if u could extend with black just above the outrunners logo..

(eg. cut the artwork above the outrunners logo, and then place black poster/paper inbetween........)

you thought about scanning it Ben? Then getting the middle extended like show above and custom printed?

I reckon you're better off waiting for the right stuff or as above...extending the black would be a subtle and tidy fix.

Good luck with this one....pain in the arse!

Edit - e-mail ' this old game ' they do one off custom inkjet prints. Maybe able to help out here?

Thanks folks, I was pretty lucky to come across these 2 lots of side art, the above stuff and one white backgrounded (larger) piece from the sit down, oddly both turned up on the same day, I'd not seen any come up since I've been collecting and tend to run Outrun searches on a daily basis.

I've not seen an outrunners cab like mine before, other uprights have been black and smaller, so don't hold out much hope for something exact turning up. The artwork for each side is different, each has 4 of the 8 cars you can play shown.

I like the idea of extending the blank area, thats a good idea indeed. I don't have the skills or tech to do that though and have already spent out twice what I wanted on the stufff bought so far, money that could and should have been spent on a baby moses basket.

I would be good to get the stuff scanned and preserved though, most people with a single tend to only have one side of art, as the 2 cabs were placed next to each other.

I would scan the artwork - can then get it customised with the black extender bit and get someone like thisoldgame to print it for you.

Should look really nice then, and you saved some NOS artwork for a cab that it will fit properly.
