Local guy who has a bar with arcades and consoles in it and who I help out from time to time has an issue with his pac-man game running too fast.
He has asked me to put a 19 in 1 in it but am reluctant to do that as is an original cabinet and has a proper game board in it - though probably a boot - see photo. It already has an LCD screen in (not my doing) so to butcher it even more by installing a Jamma loom and 19 in 1 seems a real shame.
He says when he bought it came with some “Extra chips” but he’s misplaced them. I’ve read that some boards were installed with “go faster chips”.
Anyone confirm from photo that this is a boot board (I think the “Packman” label is a bit of a giveaway) and whether or not it’s possible to swap chips out to slow it down?
