In preparation of my restoration and to allow me to get quotes, I was just wondering if anyone had an exact or near match paint code for various parts of an Outrun deluxe?

I'm after the the metal base grey and the red plastics.?

Cheers

Cheers. Yeah - I'm looking forward to restoring it, just got to finish the room where its going to live eventually.

I'll be sure to start a resto thread here and blog my progress. Its the biggest machine i'll have ever attempted, sadly I'm not sure my restoring will be up to the same standard as some her but I'll give it my best shot.

Good luck with it dude. I'd love one day to own one of these, just need to win the lottery first and buy myself a big enough place where it could live without the wife noticing it.

The amount of these I passed on back in the day! I remember one place that had 5 in a corner to be junked and I just walked on by!

No, this one came from Worlass. To be fair, in hindsight, looking at Daboss' sale, I probably overpaid as mine needs alot of cosmetic work.

But you know how these things are, I've always wanted one, one came up for sale, I had some PPI refund money burning a large arcade cab sized hole, and the Mrs said that she'd allow it....

I jumped at the chance..

getting the nod from the wife is a very hard thing these days,if I had any spare 'decent' money and she knew about it,it would be spent on more 'sensible' things like new carpets,3 piece suite, redecorating the lounge for the umpteenth time, you get the picture

Haha, yes mate. Girlfriend and I have brought a house.

Luckily it had a brick built 'Summerhouse' in the garden. (Estate agents term - read shed). This was one of the major selling points of the house for me.

I've got power installed in there and had the walls plasterboarded and plastered.

Next weekend hoping to seal the plaster, paint, skirting board and carpet tile; weather permitting as all the machines (got 2 Jamma cabs as well now) need to come out.

Its going to live in there. Once I restore the big one, I might sell the upright.

Nah, its going to need a full strip down rebuild. The plan is to rebuild it in there as we go along.

Not sure what I do when it comes to getting it out at any point.... I'll Worry about that later...

Some people managed to get these as cheap as £150 and others have paid 2k

If you think your's is bad, you should of seen the one I picked up with Space Harrier from Cornwall, Nick Hutt spend many many hours stripping it and restoring and at the end it looks amazing

Paid 1K for mine, I could of got it cheaper to be honest but I missed out on a few, and as soon as I bought that from a guy in London, one came up in coventry and it was in real nice condition

Still need to get mine stripped and restored, but it's still working at the mo, so no rush

These machines are worth the money, compare it to an upright box with screen and board, you get alot of machine for the money and there aren't that many left around, most of them for sale are one like yours, just change hands amoungst collectors these days

Will never be parting with mine, it's just too cool
