I recently became the proud owner of 4 of these things. Two of the chassis are marked 3129db and 2 666A. They look awfully similar bar the neck board which has a slightly different layout of similar components.
I have seen these give a nice image before. However they appear to be a bit of a reliability minefield. I have been going through the the first 2 this week and thought I should ask if anyone has any information. I am looking primarily for the points of attention that are required to get these reliable.
I have previously completed a similar thing with the Wei Ya AliExpress specials and it resulted in a serviceable Chassis for my dedicated DDPDOJ resto. That required a number of things like replacing rectifier diodes with higher voltage ones, altering a few resistor and capacitor values and voltages and getting better cooling on a few things. That would have taken me years to work out without input from others. Hoping for a similar thing.
The DDPDOJ cab build and chassis mods are documented here:
Not sure Americans get my humor so maybe it would have been better posted here. I literally had someone DM me and ask about the history of Ugandan arcade parts. I think they missed the point.
