Guess you'd have to look closely to fully judge the quality of the carpentry. I have pondered making a wooden cab, but not like that (maybe Victorian era crossed with Megalo, :-D)

Was there ever a real bartop arcade machine, or is it some EBay 'retro' idea?

The only bartop type games I know of (apart from the quiz ones) are the German wall mounted ones.

EBay made up cabinet type.
