So Capcom posted a small video to twitter and the reveal is today , 3PM!

The best speculation so far is a Mini-CPS2 LOL

Alien vs. Predator gets a mention in the trademark messages at the end of that teaser which is promising... Thumbs Up

Further down the post they say it's a plug'n'play arcade stick with games in it. Meh.

It has a bunch of cps2 games including avp, but no dungeons dragons, cadillacs or punisher unfortunately. Couple cps1 games like strider and ghouls n ghosts.

16 games total, looks quality.

But I'll stick with the real thing, these mini compilations just don't hold attention for very long and tend to shoot down in price quickly. Reckon this one will be dearer than usual too

It's ugly as hell too

Look for it in the clearance section.

I see a lot of people sh*tting on it on twitter, but I like it! 16 curated games, online leader boards and online multi player!

I fooking love brawlers and fighters also.

The buttons look amazing. how they fit in with the artwork.

Very tempted.

Printed buttons is a tad unique yeah, surely they'll spin a little and then the logo art will be screwed up?
This all depends on the quality of the emulation in my mind. If it's good on HDMI with non-crap filters they're onto a winner.
If not, it's bargain fodder.

Also this is nothing a pi in an arcade stick can't already do.. other than the online multiplayer I guess.

A mini CPS2+CPS3 that was jamma compatible would have put Darksoft out of business! Big smile

£200 I think.

Ugly as sin IMO. Would have to be quality hardware and emulation to be tempting at that price.

If a Capcom official approval makes a CPS2/3 emulation PCB desirable/valuable, then wouldn’t it make this thing rather collectible too?

I think it looks fugly as hell! Dead

Also (and I might be wrong about this), I believe the included Wi-Fi support is for online leaderboards only. I don't think it supports online play.

ProGear is an amazing side scrolling shoot 'em up. I will probably buy it for that alone. Part developed by Cave too.

I like these type of shooters !Smile

Nah.. not for me. But - I really like the cp and could see myself replicating a similar design onto my Capcom cab cpo..

Hi All,

I presume that the 16 games loaded should be "arcade perfect" when say compared to the multi games offered on Pandora's Box ?

Cheers

It's just a cheap emu box. Uses Final Burn Alpha, apparently.

It looks absolutely hideous.

I mean, I'm a Capcom fanboy just like everyone else, but for heavens sake, a joystick made in the shape of the logo? Oh please. Yeah, it's fine for kids I guess, but Capcom has quite a large fan base, and nobody I know is going to like it.

They missed a golden PR opportunity there, they could have made a top quality branded metal fightstick for the fighter game kids to take with them to tournaments, which is bundled with software downloads or more preferably a TV plugin emulator box shaped as a mini CPS2 shell. Could also bundle a nice vinyl keyfob of the Capcom logo. I would bite your hand off for that.

This? What a tremendous waste of plastic. Some bright spark executive at Koch no doubt, I met some of them at an ECTS show once I seem to remember. Not exactly full of bright ideas!
