Howdy
Picked up a universal cosmic monsters cab from ebay. I've repaired the power supply,and got the game playing blind. But the ramtek monitor has a burnt resistor,so I need the schematics. Has anyone got a copy,or even a link to a manual for this. I was really hoping to just recap n repair the monitor,but with no schematics I'm goosed. I have a couple of Ramtek manuals somewhere I'll try and find them for you if you still need the schematics.
I think I seen your Cosmic Monsters on Ebay, is it an Electrocoin cab? |

I too would be interested in schematics for a Ramtek monitor after a recent acquisition, only for a different model which is a Ramtek "VMC" chassis.
Seem to remember seeing Ramtek stuff in the '80s, possibly in those TV repair magazines that used to be on the shelves in WH Smiths, I'll have a look through the Practical TV mags online again. One thing I immediately spotted on the chassis I have is that it's chock of RIFA capacitors, which have a habit of cracking and releasing the magic stinky smoke, so I'll be replacing all of those. My one is completely different to the one in your picture however Phil, although I've seen those particular flyback transformers on some other Thorn EMI boards I have, so I'll see if there is a related resistor nearby. I seem to remember one of the manuals is a VMC series, not sure about the other one. I'll dig them out tonight.

Sorry Phil it doesn't look like I have the manual for yours I'm afraid, they are both VMC.
It might be worth messaging Andy Welburn on Facebook as I think he may well have that one. These are the two I have..

I was digging through my stuff and I have a spare B&W CRt and chassis that I keep for my SI, turns out it is also a RAMTEK VM20 and in pretty bad shape, did you track down some original schematics, i would love to get his back to running condition.
