My cousins husband is looking for a cabinet in the Leicester area for his office.

He's given me very specific requirements of what he's looking for:

1) Cab that is a white or black shell that can add own company logo and vinyl on the sides etc
2) Home screen with company logo
3) Ability to play old arcade games like Space Invaders/Donkey Kong/Pacman/Hyper Sports
4) Also have the ability to play the best of Sega/Atari/Commodore/Spectrum games
5) Cab for 2 players and enough buttons

He gave me a list of games like:

Bubble Bobble, Manic Miner, Jet Set Willy, Elite, R-Type, Chuckie Egg, Knight Lore, Back to School, Lunar Jetman, Horace Goes Skiing, Boulder Dash, Underwulde, Rainbow Island, Gauntlet, The Hobbit, Atic Atac, Tetris, Frank Brunos boxing, Hyper Sports, Way of the Exploding Fist, Daley Thomsons Decalthon, Great Escape, Battlezone, Crystal Castles, Dig Dug, Gauntlet, Starglider, Star Warsm Mortal Kombat, Mexico 86, Commando, Sensible Soccer, Streets of Rage, Sonic, Mario Bros, Qbertm Ms Pacman,  Asteroids, Golden Axe, Road Rash, Pong, Street Fighter, Hadouken, Paperboy, , Phoenix, Pacman, River Raid, Pitfall.

What are your thoughts about getting this setup as above?  I was thinking either a Jamma cab with some kind of Retropie setup.  Or a bookies cab with a PC running a front end?

Any other options that people can think about that would meet these requirements?  Also can anyone sell such a cabinet in the Leicester area?

Probably a Pi setup with RetroPie, which runs a bunch of emulators.
You'll have to have different pages for the different emulators etc, so menu screens are going to be needed and may complicate things for a non techy gamer.

Anything that uses a keyboard is generally a pain in the arse on a cab.

Yes, RetroPie is not a bad idea if its going to be looked after by someone who is reasonably techie and does not mind playing around to get the right setup.  Probably best to scale back his expectations, something like Pandoras Box would be lots easier, obviously no speccy with that but little maintenance would be required.

Thinking about it, you would probably be best off with an original Xbox (chipped) and a TV in a cab (and pad hacks), the hard work is done, especially for the likes of speccy and C64 with virtual keyboards etc

I've got a black/dark grey marble effect Lordsvale style cab with a 20" LCD installed in a mount that can be rotated, 2L 12B control panel. currently has a Game-Elf installed and has buttons 1-6 to the JAMMA connector so a Pandora would be plug-n-play.

Cab is compact, in good condition and located in Leicester (it'll fit in an estate or people carrier).

would be a good candidate for MAME or Retopi with an HDMI->VGA converter or XBOX-CoinOps and a VGA adapter.

I was going to stick it on eBay for £350 with the ELF with two SD-Cards (one vert games, one horizontal games) but would sell cab cheaper on forum.

The original CRT was necked - hence the LCD.

Can't find any pics with the TFT installed and working so here's some old ones with the original knackerd screen still in the cab.

Cab is 23*29*60 (W*D*H) inches so nice and compact.
