Nintendo always has to have a hook with their systems. This one seems to have optical sensors in the joycons, plus a jog-wheel. Could be interesting. Personally I am not interested in the same games buts in 4K. I want a new experience. I was hoping for some kinda VR support as Nintendo could do some crazy stuff with that. Guessing price be around £350 -£400

Yeah, it's just a supercharged Switch on first look. I love the switch but mostly use it in the dock with pro controller so not much point in upgrading yet. I'll wait a year or so for the price to drop probably. Reminds me a bit of the Wii to Wii U progression.

The next big console from Nintendo will have to be another game changer like the Wii and Switch were when they landed.

they just need a couple of killer games and it will sell by the bucketload, that newest Zelda was nothing more than a slight add on tot he original game, im guessing they will have a new Mario 3d, Mario Kart and a few others lined up as system sellers

Mario kart pretty much already confirmed to launch with it - 24 driver races. I would imagine the new Metroid Prime game would be the crossover game in the same way BOTW was on WII U and Switch

I wonder if the older games like BOTW will have frame rate improvements. That’d be a result as I really struggle on the switch for 3d games after years of PC gaming.

Metroid prime 4 and Mario Kart 9 on release means a day one pickup for me. I reckon £450 with a bundled game, hopefully Metroid.

I mean ... if it is confirmed 4K 60FPS+ for everything, then I'm in.
TBH I expected the OG Switch to do 4K ... and wasn't going to buy in to the infrastructure until there was a proper version that did.

...

That being said, to echo other comments ... I played a friend's backups on their PC, and it was sooooooo much better ... so if there's no uplift for OG games that'll be a shame.
...

I wish new versions could bring wider FOV and zoom levels for games like zelda, though ... 😏

Hmm, doesn't seem very Nintendo to just beef up the previous console, if that's all this is.
Maybe there's more to it?

Edit: I suppose it is called the 'Switch 2' so maybe it is just that.

Will get day one I think, more chance of an early console being modable.
I bought two launch Switches, one kept (tested) and boxed as new. Never ended up using it for modding myself - just enjoyed playing originals - but sold it for good money once that was an established thing.
