Well that came as bit of a surprise, absolutely adored the first game and cant wait for this sequel

One of the few modern games i really really enjoyed, and i only played it last year

it can be a bit marmite, i remember playing it a few years ago now and thought it was terrible

went back to it last year and fell in love with it, it isnt a short game though, think it took me around 40 hours to complete in the end, and that is just the story

I was the same - spat the dummy after a few hours of getting mashed by one of the first bosses.

Came back to it this month and now about 50 hours in - beyond addicted! Just trying to mop up the last few charms and grubs in time for Silksong!

ive been trying to buy it for 30 minutes now and its basically broken steam...most wishlisted game of all time

Haha yeah apparently it’s knackered every store across the board! PS, Xbox and Nintendo. Never seen anything like it before

one thing i will say about this game is that there is a mechanic that is absolutely atrocious early on in the game, trust me, stick with it, you can get a power up that changes it back

if you have played the game, you will know

Do you have to find a map of where to go? I’m bored already, just seem to be going from one screen to another and not knowing where I’m going. I’ve done that 1st boss then turned it off an hour later.

its a metroidvania, you need to buy maps as you go and find areas that you havent been too before, they arent for everyone

i've been telling a lot of people if they didnt like Ori(i know, i should stop speaking to them) then they will HATE Hollow Knight and Silksong with a passion, Ori is the friendly version of this series

Silksong is pretty punishing so far - 2 masks of damage from the smaller enemies?!

Finding the diagonal pogo hard to get used to, but suppose that will get easier with practice

no, that is the terrible mechanic, the diagonal pogo is dreadful

i would suggest googling to find out how you can enjoy the game without that, it fits the story but its awful

Such a poor decision when the Hollow Knight mechanics were perfect. Change for the sake of it

The amount of times I’ve missed a platform trying to attack an enemy from above so far 🤦😂

About 3 bosses in now, woah! the diagonal attack takes so long to get right, but when you do, it's great. Trying to avoid spoilers but some of the bosses are harder than anything in HK. I know it's not for everyone, but I am liking it so far!
