That's very kind of you to say so. Thanks very much Flyback! My meagre collection isn't a patch on your own, of course, which is something I could only aspire to in an alternative universe, but it keeps me coming back to the games I love.
It makes me very happy to not only see the wide variety of Electrocoin cabinets which forum members own but also the reasons they like a particular model and the care they take of it ! I don’t think I have seen a single cabinet on this thread which I wouldn’t want to own (except maybe some of mine when I found them … but even still would probably do it again ! )
Glad these cabinets are being loved !

A wonderful cabinet John !
Had one 6 or 7 years ago which I had to let go because of space . The Duet has a Big footprint that’s for sure , wouldn’t mind another one day.
Here was mine

Thanks!
Used to play them in Mablethorpe as a kid and couldn’t help myself when one came available. I’m lucky I’ve a double garage to keep it in!

Quite a rare cab I had, came from Holiday Camp Site over Norfolk

Electrocoin Driver with Hypercrash game, only have a couple of pics of it. I'm not that keen on upright drivers else I would have kept it to play a few different games in, Hypercrash was rubbish though but a cool cab

Cool! I thought it was different from this one (see pic) but it's the same cab with the ashtray removed.

I love that Street Fighter Goliath, I remember seeing it for sale years ago on ebay and was very tempted but didn't have the space. I've got the special control panel and marquee too but haven't got them on a cab at the moment but my cp is nowhere near as good condition as yours.

Absolutely love the Chase HQ, not many of those left unfortunately.

Hadn’t posted these photos before and at the other end of the Electrocoin spectrum (no pun intended) from the beautiful cabinets posted by other members on this thread .
In 2020 I picked up 4 Xenon’s which had been sited at a Snooker Hall in Oldham.Covid had a drastic effect on the business compounded with ill health in the owners family so they had been long out of service and needed to be cleared from the basement..
There was only one worker in lovely original condition with a 2 slot and shock troopers (I used for Aliens picture below) the rest were piles of parts with various faults and all had seen break ins to some extent when once in the snooker club arcade. It has been a lot of fun getting them all going over the last 2 years or so . Will update with some happier photos soon !

Update

After posting this message I sent the snooker club owner a message to see how they are getting on and I am glad to say they have opened a new club in Oldham. He wishes that he had photos of the arcade section of the club and apparently at its height in the mid 90s they had 40 cabinets on site. It seems that the photos taken in the basement that day are all we will see.

Well they couldn't have found a better home with all the work you've done to them, I don't think anyone else would have done what you have done on them so far.

40 cabs in a snooker hall! Wow, I'd have loved it there. I wonder how it worked as snooker halls are usual pretty quiet for the people playing snooker and arcades especially with loads of rowdy kids are most definitely not quiet. They had a vid shop near me and they got a few arcade machines in the back in the 90s and no matter how many times we were warned we just couldn't keep the noise down and he'd come rampaging in like a mad man pulling the plugs out! Then we would be back the next day and the same would happen again. Good times 🤣

Looking forward to getting them all together and finished - close now.
Screen printing and some reassembly on a couple of xenon’s and
Continental midi working just some cosmetic bits left. Trying to find a solution to the light board setup on my slot not working - driver boards seems fine but there is an issue somewhere. Unfortunately the chap who made repros is no longer in production.

Will try and host a small Electrocoin themed meet next spring / summer.

I love snooker, my small town where I grew up in North west had 2 Halls in we would play frames between GCSE exams 😂 .
The Oldham owner mentioned that they hosted tournaments and exhibition games so would set up show tables with tiered seating so I think Business was good up until Covid.
He loved the arcade games and they probably generated a decent income in the 90s , it was on a Separate floor with a bar and function rooms. He knew they were in a sad state so was pretty pleased when I sent a picture of a few running last year !

A few more I’ve had.

I stuck a load on our Arcade. The Goliath I sold to AC. The Xenon’s ended up in various arcades. The Centi’s ended up in private collections as did the choice.

I also had a Spectrum with SSFIIT which went to private collection.
No pics though

Love the Double Dragon Marquee
In my eyes they could do no wrong in any aspect of their design (graphic / build or otherwise from marquees to cabinets. I have a particular soft spot for their more cartoon style marquee like this Double Dragon version which is awesome. The cartoon Aliens is also a fave of mine.

That must have been one of the photos I took for ebay when I sold it on again, that bit of wood on the left of cash door I seem to remember replacing because of the hole in it, I seem to remember removing it to see why it was there and it just had a bigger hole behind it so cut a better bit of wood to bolt back on. I should still have the photo's in my ebay pics but depends if I lost some stuff when hard drive failure happens. I'll have to see if I can find any more of it
The ashtray, is a mystery though. did I remove it, can't remember but thats my window on the side of my extension reflecting in the glass

Something I've only just thought of, that's a very odd placement for the Steering wheel, normally you'd have them in the center but thats way over one side o_O

I know what you mean, I don't think I really appreciated them as much as I should. I think I could easily start collecting these marquees and maybe adding an Electrocoin cab to my collection.

I am the idiot who actually called up Electrocoin in 1992, and bought a brand new Street Fighter Champ Ed. Xenon Cab, so this one has never been out in the wild, yes I have replaced the sticks and buttons, and it has no coin mech, but I wouldn't change it for anything else. Seeing 3+ together is pure nostalgia porn for me though!

Really enjoying these collections.

Here’s mine.

Came in a fairly poor state and I had no idea what I was doing in restoring it, but people here were super helpful with advice and I think it came out quite well (ish).

I’ve got another MVS (a candy cab), I really don’t need two, but I love it and can’t imagine giving it up now.
It’ll probably stay a dedicated Metal Slug cab forever.

I’ve been trying to find the flyer for it for a few years. If anyone has one to sell, let me know.
