At the start of this year, I didn't know most of you and most of you didn't know me. Since I've joined here however, some of you have got to know me a little better... to the cost of about £2,000 to myself!

I took some pics of my room at the weekend, after getting all my machines in place. Since then I've started to hang pictures etc but when these pics were taken, the room was still raw.

These pics are also in daylight. When I have my console area fully setup and looking sweet, pictures in all the places, and machines all switched on... I'll return here with more pics, that would be more proud than these sorry fellows...

I started with a bare room (once I kicked my son out of it). Then I got my first cab in, currently with a 619-in-1:

Opposite that is the chimney breast, in front of which I have a Raspberry Pi with RetroPie, SNES, PS1 (with Time Crisis), a Supergun, a beer fridge, a monitor, a CRT, an amplifier, and two floor-standing speakers... at the time of taking pics, they were hidden my some arcade art:

Yeah, it don't look like that any more. Progress is ongoing. I then got a dedicated cab.. Outrunners!

And at the same time as that arrived these babies...

Left to right in them atm are WWF Wrestlefest, SF II WW, and a 412-in-1.

So when I got them pics up and the console area tidy, and sort out some lose ends, I'll wait for a nice evening, get the cabs fired up and get some better pics for you all!

Yeah, which one to have as the vertical was a choice that needed to be made... because of the CP art on the challengers, I thought I would put my two fighting PCBs in them. They're great cabs, the only working marquee lights in the room!

You live in the same town as my mum! Next time we zoom down the M20 I'll dump the boys on nanny and donate some beer for your fridge for a go on Outrunners - it didn't come from The Dome did it?!

Me too - the reason I bought my Xenophobe was because I put hundreds in the one at the Rotunda over the years. You don't know what happened to its cabs do you? I'd buy anything :)

Mum comes to us more than we all go to her its much less hassle. But the next time we do I'll give you a shout and hopefully we can arrange something, cheers matey.

A year on and here's an update of the room (yeah, probably still about 90% done
smiley36.gif
):

I've said goodbye to OutRunners and a Silverline. A tinge of grief there but I then took in a Daytona USA upright and an Empire Strikes Back fruit machine so felt good again.

We swapped a couple of walls of stuff around which has created a nicer space we feel.

The consoles have mostly moved into the front room (AKA "Arcade Overflow") although I've kept a smaller CRT in there for the SNES on game nights. The overflow has all the playstations.

Left to right...

Daytona USA original upright.

Sofa.

Empire Strikes Back fruit machine.

Beer fridge.

CRT for consoles.

Game Elf 419 in 1 vertical board in challenger cab.

Game Elf 619 in 1 horizontal board in silverline cab.

Street Fighter 2 The World Warrior original pcb in challenger cab.

I kinda suck at the whole taking pics and video thing but there it is.

This time next year, I'll probably be about 90% done. I'll be back with an update.
