Do any of you happen to recognise the side art on the pinball table below?
It's a one-off Akira pinball table by Akira's creator Katsuhiro Otomo, but I don't have any information beyond that.
Here's the translation of the text below "An original pinball machine created for the back cover of volume 4 of the book. Mr. Otomo cut and pasted animation cels on a machine provided by Taito Corporation. Also, the one in the photo above is Mr. Otomo's left arm. It is a tattoo drawn by himself."
