@guddler that setup sounds/looks amazing. Nice to see them in actual use.

@new666uk that sounds OK to me. A bit of extra RAM is a great thing for a A1200, in fact there was a lot of discussion BITD that C= really really should have put an extra couple of meg of FastRam on the mobo.

Amiga hardware is very cool so its really easy to spend all your time in pursuit of ever better hardware and the setup of it all. Nothing wrong with that at all. But getting to this point has taken so much that I've set myself the goal of actually doing something with it and creating something. Whether I will or not is highly debatable and it's certainly stalled at the moment with the arrival of the MiSTer, but hopefully I'll get back on track.

As others have already said, it's also eye-watering what original hardware costs these days. Even self-building cost me a fortune when you would think it would save! The so-called modern components were often obsolete before I even started.

I used to run a dedicated Amiga BBS back in the day. I'm thinking about putting it back online. I should still have all my setup files and it can run via telnet either on an Amiga or via a PC. I assume most people these days don't use modems anymore :)

Ordy's still running one on an a4000T - 'theedgebbs.dyndns.org'

I think he may have it connected to a phoneline, I'm not sure on that but yeah, I'd imagine you're right. Hell I don't even have a phone plugged into our line at home, let alone a modem!

I'm using DCTelnet and it seems to work pretty well
