This is my machine just after it arrived at the start of the year.

I stripped it, to clean off all the dust it have collected over the years in storage.

During the cleaning process, it developed a problem with the LCD screens in the Visette.

I have finally found the problem, and sourced replacment LCD`s ( with a higher resolution ! ), that require a composite video input.

I have added a power socket, so I can supply power to the new LCD`s and the CGA->Composite converter boards ( one is shown - the other is on its way ).

I hooked up an old CRT TV to the composite output from the converter board, and got a brilliant picture, although reversed, due to the use of mirrors in the visette.

Below are pictures of the strip down, the clean, the rebuild, and the repair work.

More pics to come in the technical soon, when I get back to repairing/rebuiding it.

Thefro9,

Yep, your right! - I think that is is possible that my 2 machines could be the only working ones left in the UK?

If anyone knows otherwise - let me know!!!

As if there are more working ones - then lets arrange a 3 or 4 player game! :D

the one in Scotland....I didnt get. It would of cost more than my working machine cost me to retrieve it from all the way up north, plus, it was only an empty - incomplete shell - so after a lot of thought, I gave it a miss.

One of those machines on the photo is mine that I restored, and the other we ( I & RCM ) bought it from Alpha1, and I restored that one too!

Newbie here and I have mailed Simon but here's my SD1000.

I used to rent Virtuality systems for corporate entertainment and exhibitions in the '90s and early '00s so if you saw one at a party or an exhibition back there it may well have been me.

I still have my SU2000Duo as well but it's non-working as well at the moment
