Reading through and zooming in to the pic, the side panels are in 2 parts. The join is horizontal and level with the control panel.
That alone would put me off I think.

Easier to ship I suppose as it isn't that long.
Also don't like the way the control panel has been done, very cheap looking.

Are people still interested in these flat pack cabs?
Thought a cabaret style with wooden style laminate sides would have been more handy for people, especially if space is limited.

There was a guy on here who did Repro's and looked good. Unsure on price and if he did a standard cab though.

Dave.

Think there was a few on here did them.

I done a generic cab a good while back but postage to the mainland was almost the price in parts for the cab. These were CNC routed, with routed slots and pocket screws to hold it all together. Also did quite a few of the cabaret/mini styles, as mentioned above. These were all made with CRTs in mind.

These were £350 for the large cab and £300 for the smaller ones. A generic metal control panel was an extra £80, no overlay or anything. Was able to keep costs low as order the ply direct for the importer by the bail.

I'm hoping to start these again at some point, but won't be till next year sometime.

As mentioned in this thread, I'm also looking at doing some repo work, some will be for the mini cabs mentioned above.

I bought a bitcade bartop and it's built like a tank. Dunno about these though. Speaking with experience here: save yourself some time and just get a jamma cab. You'll be doing this in a few years anyway!
