I'm just curious, is anyone near'ish to me who would be willing to give me a hand with my cab?

I'm based in the South West, near Gloucester and I need to remove the monitor from the cab entirely, fit a new wooden mount for the monitor and reinstall it while also replacing a number of wires which are too short making going from vertical to horizontal etc not possible. I also think this process will involve discharging the tube which freaks me out. @aeroflott was kind enough to help me when i lived elsewhere years ago with this as it genuinely just isn't something I'm comfortable messing about with. I've already managed to give myself a shock by touching something along the HV line haha I don't fancy that again.

There is also a box inside the cab which switches the screen orientation which sure is handy but i really don't need it, i managed to get shocked from it, its been very crudely made and the wires are actually too short anyway making switching the monitor around a real pain so I'd like to remove this. This applies to a few wires as i mentioned earlier which go to the chassis which need replacement or making longer.

Could also use a hand with the T moulding i want to replace it the stuff on it is beaten up and chrome which isn't to my taste but I'm worried i will mess it up.

Willing to pay for some ones time if you are near and able to help :D

I would come but your over 1 .5 hours drive just a bit to far
To discharge a tube ..

1 where a rubber glove .
2 . follow instructions that others have made on discharging a monitor .

Keep your other hand in your pocket.

you can also buy discharging wands

Rubber glove, good idea, ive had nasty shock in the past regarding discharging so i get where hes coming from,it is a bit daunting, even with guides and videos ive seen ,im still reluctant(scared),but is he aware of hand in pocket?,(acient chinese proverb)...man with hand in pocket feels cocky all day!:D
