I was reminded of it there earlier, bloody fantastic.
It was in the trocadero and also over here in Dublin.
It was 2.50 and probably lasted about 20 odd minutes. Bargain!

I've yet to come across anyone else that remembers it, surely someone here does too?

I went at the Troc, on a trip to London bitd. Massive lover of the franchise, didnt know what to expect. Blown away. Loved every second of it.

It was very good!
The actors playing the marines stayed in character start to finish. When I went in there were a couple of messers not taking it seriously but the marines were roaring and shouting at them like drill seargents before booting them out. Very funny but set the tone too.
It'd hard to imagine anything like that getting off the ground now, or them needing to sell tickets for 100 quid a go or something

Even just reading through the comments on that video I posted, it seems everyone lived it.
I wonder were there many differences between the one in trocadero and Dublin.
A great part was everyone piling into the elevator only for the doors to jam, just like the film. I was right in the middle and off down the corridor, a good 30 feet away I wasn't sure if there was an alien or not with all the steam and lights. It was moving really slowly, and then one burst from the ceiling in through the doors. Crazy good fun!

In the Troc one, when I went, having crept through corridors with opening eggs, etc, we ended up in the evac ship which quickly malfunctioned, and an alien emerged from the pipes in the wall. The marines ran us down a corridor and into the elevator but one got caught, leaving our group in the elevator with just one marine. After we started 'moving' it shuddered to a halt with a thud from above. The marine asked one of the group to help him open the door. As this woman prised open the doors, it revealed an alien, with it's head bowed, waiting outside. It slowly looked up and grabbed the woman, took her to the ground and crouched over her, before the lift doors closed and we were off again to the next part of the adventure. Ultimately being chased by aliens, all marines now dead, down a long corridor, busting through the exit door, and into the inevitable busy pub, looking like an idiot.

In hindsight, the 'public casualties' were most likely/definitely 'plants', but it was a fabulous adrenaline rush. At the time I thought those guys had the best jobs in the whole world. I'm sure that with the lights on it all looked a bit lame, but hell, I loved it.
