Loved kung fu master back in the day and still do.
One of the early irem games which showed how brilliant they were developing it followed on with more awesome games such as r-type.

One of my all time faves. My 16 year old absolutely loves it too. I try to tell him that that game spawned all the brawlers like Final Fight etc (all of which he can't stand).

I quite like Vigilante too for obvious reasons, but that is even harder. I can master KFM but Vigilante pulls my pants down...

I got my name in print in the 2011 gamers edition of the guinness world records for my score on the arcade version. The game hits 40 years since release a few weeks time.... A classic...

The follow up is now on mame since it's roms were dumped a while back.

I can't see KFM2 being properly emulated unless another boardset magically appears and someone dumps that MCU.

Vigilante did make more sense as a follow-up.

I remember Kung Fu Master from a 1990 Holiday at Pontins, Devon, where we pretty-much spent the entire holiday in the arcades playing Golden Axe, Pacland, Trojan and Kung Fu Master.
It's one of those games that you just want to play when you watch it, but it is bastard hard. Reminds me, I've got a bootleg somewhere I must fix.
