Dur. I now see that this is a public forum, not a dev/admin one, thus my question is irrelevant 
For my money I think we should consider all slates wiped clean and judge people on their actions on ukvac.com from this point forward.

Nobody ever said you were stupid. And for the benefit of anybody who hadn't subscribed so didn't see the post (I deleted it because it was redundant, not because I was trying to hide anything) the post said:
1. Did we have a permissions error that allowed this forum to be viewed - as I answered myself in the reply, it's a public forum, doh!
2. We should wipe the slate clean and judge people on their actions from this point forward.
So no Chinese whispers, just me not being 100% familiar with the forum layout yet. Don't be paranoid!

And yes I totally agreed with the wipe the slate clean bit you wrote, It didn't take long from my name appearing as a new member that this thread was started.
If people think certain topics discussed on other forums had no purpose there.... does 'this' one have a purpose here??

It's actually about a bug that has been in webwiz for a long time. I highlighted it a year+ ago on J+ that a search will also search restricted/mod only posts and show you the title if it gets a hit. I was wondering whether even with the upgrades that had been applied, the bug still existed.
As for why I made the post in the first place, I read your "Oh it feels like such a warm welcome..." post and was immediately disheartened that I thought crap external to this forum had been carried over. My next thought was "do we have a permissions problem" and my third thought was "doh! this is a public forum, not private so it's cool".
Regarding the time between you joining and cools' making his post, you've gotta expect some kind of kickback from the U250 stuff as you posted so prolifically about it over at J+
I'm not 100% sure what you mean by the last sentence though - do you mean should cools have started this thread? If so then I think it's fine as long as it's written & taken in good spirit which I am certain is the way cools intended it to be, and hopefully the way you received it. You are the U250 chap, just like there is that Tron guy.
Things are just a bit more laid-back here. I don't think anybody is trying to pick a scrap with you honestly.
