I've got Tony Temple's old Battlezone Cabaret- formerly from the Invadar collection. It's a lovely machine, hardly have needed to to anything to it, though recently I was thinking that the Plexiglass was pretty scuffed.. and the tint (quite dark) didn't really match what I was seeing in photos of other cabaret battlezones on KLOV etc.
Anyway- after a thread about this very topic on KLOV, I found simply plastics in the UK do the custom cut and color Plexiglass.. so I ordered:
Perspex® Coloured Tinted Cast Acrylic Sheet
Thickness: 5mm
Colour: Brown 504
Width: 478mm
Height: 347mm
Edge finish: Polished
Rounded corners: None
Additional Instructions: None
Holes: None
I don't have a great "before" picture as you never really think to try to photograph the plexi and show scratches etc.. but this is "After". Perfect fit/bang on the requested size, plus the Brown 504 seems to match other photos I've seen online more closely. Colors pop and I was able to turn the brightness down a touch too, hopefully making the monitor happier over time!
