As I'm actively in the pinball collecting/competition too, I'm part of the organizing team for the Belgian Open Pinball.
It is held in Sint-Niklaas (BE) on the 5th and 6th of October 2013.
'Open' means this is open to all players, domestic and international. The event counts towards the IFPA ranking so a lot of WPPR points can be obtained.
On saturday we have the main tournament qualification and team tournament. On saturday night we have a BBQ dinner and a little party.
On sunday we have the youth tournament and off course the further rounds in the main tournament (double head-to-head knock out system). And also some sidegames troughout the weekend.
Last year the tournament was won by Martin Ayub (pinballnews.com) from the UK. This year we have even more people making the trip from the UK to Belgium.
Registrations have opened last saturday. At this moment 'only' 43 slots (of the initial 150) are still available.
Take a look on our website for more info, registration details, pictures of the 2012 edition, tournament rules, etc... Big + is that we have a lot of the most recent Sterns setup. So the ideal place to get to know/ play them.
This year the event is hosted in a bigger venue with more room and facilities.
Hopefully we can welcome some UKVAC members!
