Is there a right way to remove the instruction sticker from a Outrun 2 dash to replace it?
It's covered with the clear plastic protector

It looks like a case of prising it out carefully, but I can't see how you'd re-attach it with a new sticker underneath?

I'm not with you, you mean the sticker on the left side of the dash? It should be just a regular vinyl sticker that will peel off if you get a knife under a corner.

If it's a UK twin it will have a credit button and surround plate which you can remove by unscrewing the small nuts on the reverse side of it.

If you have some sort of plastic protector over it, that's not original.

Upload a photo if you have something different.

Yep thats the one, mine looks like a JPN dash, based on the instructions.
Not on a Outrun any longer - I used the dash on a homebrew racer.
If they didn't have the plastic bit on to start with I'll just remove it.

That's a Chinese copy dash plastic and sticker. You can tell by the texture of the dash plastic and the more basic sticker - it maybe has some sort of plastic coating on it rather than being on foil like the original.

This an a Japanese dash/sticker..

Gotcha - makes sense, and looking at the plastics yours looks much nicer than mine, rings a bell that Mo told me it was a Chinese one, also explains why the new sticker is a couple mm too large

Anyhow all sorted now, gave it a bit of heat and it was stuck on with sort of adhesive foam strips, cleaned up the area, trimmed the new decal and now all is sorted.

It'll never be as good as an original, but it's not an original game.....

BTW I see you're in Gloucestershire - always nice to see another local :)
