Hi guys

Where are people sourcing coach bolts from ? I know the usual tool places do them but struggling to find the right size. In a Google wormhole trying to find some 😁

I have a Vanguard here . Wanting to tidy up the control panel . The bolts are proving impossible to remove due to seizing / rust . Tried all the usual chemicals. I may have to cut them out.

Struggling to find the right size - I’m not that familiar with vid cabs so not sure what the usual sizes actually are.

This is the long one that secures the panel - it did come out. But there are several other shorter ones that won’t budge.
Thanks

I always have to get M4 bolts from Aliexpress. None of the hardware sellers do them, and if you ask they'll walk around the shelves for a while before shrugging their shoulders and looking confused.

Cheers. Glad it wasn’t just me going mad trying to find some.

Are these any good as replacements?, may have to spray them up black.

Also try googling 'Carriage Bolts'

Yeah I’ll end up trying something like that. As long as they are close enough to original head sizing.
And yes I’ve been googling coach/carriage and every other name imaginable . Had no idea they would be so elusive. Annoyingly in the US the exact ones seem readily available on arcade suppliers sites. Shipping kills it though.

Lloyd & Jones engineering and tool supplies 8 or 9 depots in Stoke , Cheshire , Lancashire…(see google for addresses) not sure if they have on line sales? They sell metric / imperial , bright zinc / self coloured (black) handy for me as a big one is on Road One Winsford industrial estate about 6 miles away. They do multimeters , soldering irons and other electrical tools too… and best bit is if you only need one bolt , no need to buy a full pack. (Trade counter sales) big shelved displays and usually knowledgable staff.

If you can’t get it there …then Screwfix is on the next block … always worth a visit for some related parts? …. They do a catalogue and mail order sales.
Coach bolts in silver or organic green but maybe not black? … and Wickes do those in box various quantities quite low price too!
