Cost Of Living Affecting Hobbies

I know many people are less fortunate but the cost of living double the price of gas and electricity, rising price of food and fuel is starting to bite.

In January/February in previous years I've always had a few quid left over for a treat. One year I got a Spectrum +3, or something for my Atari ST. This year, hardly a penny left. It's a bugger to want to do something nice but not having the spare cash to do it.

Energy co shell record highest profit ever £32 billion.
British Gas force vulnerable people into pre pay meters
When they can’t afford bills?
energy poverty( higher tariff)

Isn’t the governments job to protect its citizens ?

When will this rip off by energy co be bought under control ?

Do gov make more money when the energy co are ripping us off?

It hasn't effected my wifes hobbies of buying expensive food that we don't even get around to eating before it goes off or the endless amounts or ornaments and other crap for the home that we don't need.

It's a disgrace. The poorest people paying the most for gas and electricity. The problem is we have become too reliant on Gas to power power stations instead of using coal. The justification for Shell's profits is they make most of it over seas but they're still making a shed load here. If the govt hadn't wasted £20bn in PPE think of the savings they could make. It would only cost £1.6bn to replace 400,000 E-G rated boilers with new A+ rated boilers. That would provide domestic CO2 emission reductions of about 15% - getting close to the magic 20% they want! They take our money in taxes and spaff it up the wall.

Nadhim Zahawi's tax affairs: if that was any other person they'd be hounded, threatened with CCJ's and prosecution - but not him!

That Rishi Sunak owes me a second hand Atari Falcon for the tax I paid on a bonus 2 years ago :(
