Customs . . .

[ukvac] Customs . . .
Doh!

Today was a bad day (

I finally got my Sinistar Marquee and NOS long-handled Roby sticks at a
knock down price and customs got me! I only paid $68 plus shipping (I also
got a williams I/O board and Defender drawing set for that) . . . a steal
I thought . . . but the seller put the value down as $200 thinking he was
doing me a favour, but I paid VAT, Excise Duty and handling on the whole
lot which was £34 ($51) (

My advice to you all . . .

Make sure if you buy from the US that the seller doesn't over insure the
package. If you do get stopped then it'll cost ya!

BTW the Sinistar Marquee is 9.9/10 )
. . . and REAL Roby sticks !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose it weren't too bad just could have been £34 cheaper . . .

I am sick and tired of people who do that, even when I have EXPRESSLY
ASKED THEM NOT TO.

Like the box of promo CDs I was sent, they were all "Promotional use only"
in card sleeves etc, but the bastard seller put a value of $300
(20x CD at $15 each) Customs shagged me for that.
