Looks good, interesting to see the final release although I hope they speed the enemy bullets up abit !
Yes the game will be faster

one of the developers has already answered on his discord channelone of the developers has already answered on his discord channel

This is his answer :

“ EVERYTHING is, not just planned, but really faster actually 😄
it'll only be real when we have tested it on the real thing
the ROM running on MAME runs faster and smoother 😎”

a new video has been put online

The quality is not good (it's filmed on CRT with a phone) but... This time you see the game in motion as it actually moves (on AES via NeoSD),

and here is the promo flyer

Big update from the developers:

.
The game itself is close to completion and within a couple of weeks of we’ll be sending the rom for cart prototyping. We’ll be posting another gameplay video next month to show you as well as we can how the game looks and sounds on the Neo Geo (be it on the real hardware, FPGA or emulation).
Once the rom passes the final stage of tests and we have secured all the details related to the production, we will start the pre-order campaign, which you can expect in September or October.
On the physical side of things, we can now share what the AES/MVS will look like (more or less, as it’s still WIP). Some peeps have requested a collector’s edition - so we’ve got this alternate “Jesus Mk II” cover art that will be exclusive to the pre-order campaign, both in JP and US versions..

We’re also introducing an edition intended to the emulation crowd who don’t have the original hardware, yet want to get some shiny stuff for their cab, their shelf, or any guilty pleasure they may have. This “ROMstick” or “mini-MVS” edition will contain a complete MVS kit and a boxed custom-printed USB key containing the rom files to load on their favourite device (emulators, NeoSD & Darksoft flashcarts, MiSTer…)

More pics of the thing in the next spoiler

The ports, on PC and on various retro systems (DC, PSP…) should follow.

How do they arrive at and justify the price of these Neo 3rd party games ?? It still amazes me to this day. £38 for a usb stick with DC / PC version on it. Does it really cost an extra £350 to produce a Neo cart ? I always thought the reason they used to be expensive was because of the cost of Chips/Megs in the carts bitd. I’m not asking to be argumentative, Just really curious why they charge so much. If it was about the effort/work and the fact they’re niche items, Surely all versions would be a similar price inc usb sticks ?

Hahaha I think getting lynched by their fan boys is not what my discord account needs tbh, I use it a lot for gaming. I’m talking collectively about all of them Ng dev, Bitmap B etc not just this company

unfortunately for us players, all new AES or MVS games are at the same price.
games have always been expensive (too expensive) on neogeo.
I therefore imagine that this price (which includes the price of game development, PCB production, printing, etc.) allows them at least not to lose money (due to the small quantity of games that will be sold due to the price and the target audience) and with a little luck to win some money

I guess if they use the Neo versions to offset the cost of the other versions and claw back some of the development costs I can kinda understand it. They just seem so expensive tho, Almost like they’re playing on people’s perception that all Neo stuff should be top dollar. I don’t often root for the bootleggers these days but……

Then again if it costs an extra 300 quid to play a game that doesn’t have gender politics and social agendas shoehorned in, Maybe they’re worth every penny 😂
