I got dragged along with the kids to watch it, Some cool stuff in that shop. I ended up quite enjoying the film.
What kind of tiny movie prop machines are those? Alternatively, what kind of 'attack of the 50 foot woman' is that?
My Defender cab is HOOOGE.

A little bit of that when I saw it, but rather timid.
Didn't make any difference to the viewing as the whole movie's pretty much a crazed pantomime anyway.
Is this just a US cultural thing?
Yeah. Loads of clapping when we went. Most of the references went over my head. Great movie nevertheless with suitably OTT performances from Black and Momoa

Yeah I think that'll be Mamoa making big cabs look like miniatures.
But that's surely some woman in the scene, judging by the hair, jacket, and fat ass? Please tell me that's not... a... dude? I'm 6'4/260/same hair and don't look like a chick from behind.

The cabinets in the film are NZ built and generally scaled down from US cabs. Much like our vehicles(think Ford Cortina vs Ford Fairlane, etc).
I can tell you the machine he is playing on though is as tall as an American Defender - the guys a monster(I supplied some of the machines for the movie and stumbled across this discussion looking for reference pics).
