Not trying to be negative but is there anything they make these days for arcade industry worth bothering with, it's a huge shame how it's gone from the brilliant days we had but just nothing much interests me these days in arcades unless it's old

I've not been since 2020, but I always found enough to keep me entertained.

There are a lot of games I'm not interested in, but then that was always the case.

The other benefit of trade shows is that you can often have an informal chat about the products with the staff.

I used to attend ECTS which was mostly computer / video games - open to trade and press, and that was epic.
Too many stories, I remember once checking out super Mario kart on the gameboy advanced pre-release, and somebody was
chuckling away at my excessive use of jumping the whole time - when I turned around, much to my surprise it was a very well know Nintendo developer.

I used to be a bit skeptical about the seleciton of games outside of the pinballs but in recent years have really enjoyed the skill based redemption games and had some fun challenges there with other UKVACers. Not worth the £1 a go in the arcades for worthless tickets but at the show on free play, they're a lot of fun and I'm REALLY looking forward to EAG next week.
