I was quite excited about this. It's only a few miles from me, but there's no public freeplay and a £60 entrance! I didn't realise pinball was taken so seriously! I do love pinball, but not that much!

Yeah, it's a proper pinball tournament, new one to the area.

I think it was pretty much sold out, possibly was a couple of entries left from people who dropped out last minute.

Most of the people there spent more than £60 as the two main comps were what is called card based where you get a couple of entries as part of the £60 but then you can buy more if you don't do very well on them.

It's also attracted some good players from Europe as well.

There is a other big one in London in September, if you thought £60 was a lot with no free play I wouldn't look at the prices for that one. 😁

If you're not into tournaments there is of course UK Pinfest at the end of August in Daventry, lots of free play pinball there.

I keep meaning to get down to Pinball Office in Sawbridgworth, it's only an hour away. Maybe if there's another tourney in Thetford next year I'll give it a go. I only found out about it on Friday, and I was taken aback that there was no freeplay.
