Spent most of today starting to put up a keter shed on my tod, get 50-60% finished then tear the whole thing down, which is a killer given tight timelines I'm on.

Failing I always try to take as a lesson, you always learn something from failing.

I never trust my own instinct because of general self doubt, today, prime example.

The instructions in parts were rubbish, I part blame them, and part blame some YouTubers who misinterpreted the instructions in the same way, validating my incorrect interpretation

So I'm starting again tomorrow, but it's my old doubt and question.as usual, is it me, or were the instructions naff?

Would also enjoy reading a few disasters you lot have had, were your instructions to blame, or were you just useless 😂

The Keter ones I've got you don't need instructions as they are straight forward really, these are older models. only issue with them is they have condensation on inside the roof most of winter, smaller size ones aren't so bad

Don’t give yourself a hard time, you did the right thing recognising you had made a mistake and starting again with the experience and lesson learned. Worse thing you can do in yesterdays situation is to bodge and then look at it for years to come thinking why didn’t I do it property !
Good Luck today!

Other than the roofs being a pain, I've heard generally nothing but good things about them. Honestly thing they've gone the same way as many brands over the last few years, cutting corners at the cost of the products 🤷‍♂️ We'll see, I'm trusting my gut today without doubt!

When I'm making something or altering stuff, The first go is okay, 2nd is usually much better as you think of other ways to do it

Must be loads of things I've done and messed up, just can't think of anything at the mo. Used to get mixed up when cutting stuff like Skirting board corners and you cut it wrong way, so to stop me doing that I started marking the way I need to cut it which really helped

Bending metal in the machine is always a challenge, the way you want to do the bends you can't else you can't put it back in to bend the next part, so you have to do the outer bend first then the inner one, that's fine unless you get the first in wrong place then you end up with too much or too little to get right like doing the speaker brackets, then find out the damn boxes aren't square so I had to fit one upside down  on that occasion it was the 2nd one I messed up but it's because i just happened to check it on the thinner side

Well it's done, what a load of crap that was! Thunderstorms galore, I was holding the internal metal beams towards the sky at one point hoping I could use force majeure as the excuse for not finishing today.

Not arcade related and wouldn't trust it with anything worth over a fiver 😂 I will be adding the temu E.T. head I bought for a laugh to the window.

Need to shim the front left side, but it'll do for now Best last after the messing around. Typical manufacturer giving people the bare minimum material when another 2-3mm of plastic here and there would make a world of difference, but it'll save them a few thousand per year no doubt🙄
