I thought I would post this here as I have just posted it in the J+ High Score section.

I know it looks like 25,507 but the score clocks at 1,000,000.
I grabbed a screenshot a few screens earlier for reference.

Egad! I would like to see some video of you playing that to get some hints. I always thought Frenzy is harder than Berzerk, but you've shattered that, Garry!

I know what you mean about the difficulty , Vic.
I used to struggle to get more than 50K. Then all of a sudden I was getting 100K then 200K then 400K, which is where I was stuck for a few years until last weekend...

During this particular game I managed to stay alive long enough to rack up enough lives so that when I had a run of dodgy rooms with several quick deaths I had plenty of breathing space.
At certain times the extras wrapped round the screen and were appearing over my score so I was losing a digit until the score updated.

I sent a score (265K) to TG about 15 months before the last time they went bang and it never got verified in all that time. I still have the .inp, recorded on WOlfMAME on my hd.

Was hoping not to have another long game on this but bones on J+ beat my previous score so I had to reciprocate.

As proof of beating the million...

I suddenly realised that I had forgotten to grab a screenshot before the million (I was rather busy!) so I had to quickly grab one before I got too many points.
22 extra lives displayed @ 3K per life = 66K. Impossible to get with only 56K!

I quit the game after approx 12 hours of play, with regular breaks, as it was becoming rather tedious. F^ck knows how Joel managed nearly 5M...
