I’m 99.9% sure people are posting on others profiles, thinking it is a private message.

The link to see new. Profile posts is an interesting snoop into what people are up to. It even feels wrong even tho nothing real personal there… but enough to feel like people think it’s private.

There is
People begging to buy stuff
private meets where you find out your not invited and some asking for services 🤪

See here

So the point of this message was to inform to the unaware that Clicking on a profile and sending a post isn’t a private message
You need to start conversations guys and gals !

Never really understood why you'd want to post on someone's profile really 🤷‍♂️

Probably one to plug before personal deets accidently appear, bound to happen at some point.

when the upgrade happened, they did say that there was loads of PMs, so lots are talking direct. However I ended up with all my PM's after upgrade, never doubted it would fail.. But if that feature is needed or not, disable it

I'm probanly being stupid here but what do you mean posting on other peoples profiles? I've sent a couple of PMs since the switch and I must admit I was wondering when I sent them if I was actually sending a PM or not as it's not clear like it used to be, not to my old mind anyway.

If you double click on the members image/name, it goes to the member's Profile Page. At the bottom of the screen it says "Write Something", you can write a message directly on someone's profile page.

The only real use for this I can think of is to leave feedback for the member.

i’ll take a look to see if it can be disabled - it’s obviously something that comes standard with the forums and we’ve not spotted it in testing… does seem a pointless addition !
