Got this non working Galaga board cheap off ebay ages ago
Wasn't booting but there were some obvious things to address before I even get the IC probe out
2 custom chips had broken legs at 2L 6N with just enough to re sodder the legs on both.
One socketed 74LS386 was missing at 5A
One resistor array at 2A had snapped so I just repaired the legs .
A missing eprom at 3L so I reprogramed one .
Board was now booting to error message of bad RAM 0L and 0H (2016B-20) . I replaced it with a 2016BP-10 and the board was now booting fine but with no sound aside from the explosion one.
This was due to 1 Prom missing at 5C which I couldn't reprogramed. Luckily this was reprogramed by a generous member on here (thank you sukhbir !)
and there's now one more working galaga board in the world
