All the decorators I know water it down slightly so it goes on much easier.
Just add enough so it's not as thick as it currently is, but not as runny as water. I can't think of an example of substance to compare it too..

Should only take two coats, especially since its lined.

I wouldn't do that with Homebase paint tbh or painting paper, I didn't rate that paint at all tbh, did my garage with it took quite a few coats, i normally don't ever buy anything but branded as it tends to be disappointing but they had the colour I wanted. got there in the end though. strykr2017-04-13 18:28:19

Yeah I had the same reason for picking this paint, which is from b&q by the way, they had the colour I wanted and they didn't have an alternative with dulux or crowns paint in the shop. Ok so I have one guy saying I should and the other saying I shouldn't lol.

So I managed to get it all painted. Its not perfect by any means, but I can touch up a few bits here and there. In the meantime, I have put everything back in the room as it was driving me crazy being in other rooms.

next thing I need to happen is

1. Someone to remove the storage heater and I'll paper and paint that bit.
2. To buy soundproofing foam for the ceiling
3. Acquire some carpet tiles and carpet round the machines leaving the wooden flooring for them.
4. Plaster small cupboard, get nice facings for it and paint them. This is gonna be a bar area. Then paper it.
5. Buy two 4 tier cube units for either side of the tv for the consoles.

By the way I have also bought a 16:3 65" rear projection tv from ebay, its gonna be sooooo big. Not put it up yet as i haven't arranged for Martin to get it for me yet.
