Ok... so my collection of video games and arcades have always been in either the loft, spare cupboards, tops of wardrobes or even in parents work-shed. So when I got my new house the main plan was to have a garage or a loft I would be able to convert into a decent games room. So bought the house without a decent loft size or a garage.. however it came with a basement (with an external door). Though it had been used a more a storage shed and even though the basement had the boiler in there was a damp coming though due to level.
Plan is to replace the boiler with a new modern unit, rewire the basement and build a new damp-proof floor, replace the insulation and ceiling and then plasterboard the walls.
Here is the work I have done so far... this weekend we should be buying the stud frame for the walls and start replacing the ceiling.
