I went to the London one
Years ago..

Lots of knock off stuff ..
Some bits you would pick up just because they are right under your nose ..

Some alright prices but im talking 10+ years ago .

I have never been and hate to be negative , But , Will it not just be filled with people who want to charge silly money for things ?? Like car boots ' How much do you want for that none working amiga 500 thats yellowed, No power supply and has missing key ? ' and the reply I got ' I wanted £300 for it but if you have cash I can do £250 ?? Bargain for that ' , Safe to say I walked away shaking my head.

Sure it will be a good day out mind !

Dave.

I was thinking about going to the Bolton one... are they any good?

Anyone been to one lately?
they are worth going to IMO, i picked up a Time Pilot original marquee that said guy was trying to coax off me, got it for £15 and also picked up a nice bunch of FDS games as well

you arent forced to buy anything, there were lots of stalls selling stuff i wasnt interested in(Lego figures, 3d printed stuff) but i quite liked it, few quid to get in and walkabout and look at gaming/nerd stuff and if you do bag something, its well worth it, as i said, because i was walking about with the Time Pilot marquee and few people were asking me about it and if you are inclined, you could make some good contacts....me...no thanks...this is mine..please leave me alone

It’s always A changing world !
When I went a few good sellers of jap snes mint stuff
Some nice boxed rare consoles
For what you would expect prices ..

But seeing the bootleggers actually pissed me off ..

Masses of copied games ..
I feel just dirtys the waters in the end.
Although I suppose it helps people play the game which I do agree with .. So I’m unsure on that front but I suppose I don’t like seeing Fakes at a game collectors fair.

Traders Will check each others stuff out early as well ..

I watched that going on stuck in the line waiting to go in, but that’s life .. go as a trader get a table of you want to really grab a bargain.

Younger audiance helps drive the market , games finding a level in a new place like kids wanting to experience halo will pick up Xbox halo games from Xbox original and 360. Só it’s fun just to watch what the youth of today will go for .

i guess i am lucky that i dont collect stuff that is easily copied, or is super easy to spot then, i would go to the event to see if its your thing, i quite liked it because i picked up a few things and my son and girlfriend picked up a few neat 3D printed things as well

Romero was there as well when i went and it was funny seeing how people were acting around him, he seemed lovely though

i got my UK boxed AES from the Birmingham replay event last year. Since then, very few AES games, but did see a neo sd at the Leeds fair last week but 400 pounds though!

Prices can vary massively at these events, but I think they’re fun to go to. As others have said, it’s nice to pick stuff up just because it’s there.

I personally like to gawp at the prices of the rare games and then feel smug at buying it back in the day for the original price ;)

Been to a couple of the old Ham Radio Rally things, used to be really good and just looking they still going, I got my first 17" PC Monitor for £120 in late 90s when cheapest new ones were £500. some bargains at those but problem is these days many get prices from ebay, before all the online stuff you didn't have a collective pricing guide thats easy to look up so who knows these days

Been to a few of the old Computer Markets as well, some reasonable priced stuff and then people selling known faulty parts like sound cards as they won't be there when buyer finds out so great place to offload total shite but thats not the majority of sellers from my experience

Need more of these though, back to selling/buying and paying cash
