A lot to be positive about in that trailer. Shadow rendering and crowd density are insane but also consistent with what you'd expect of a post-RDR2 refresh of a Rockstar open world. The GTAIV trailer looked like pie-in-the-sky CG until the game came out looking at least as good, and there hasn't really been a break from that tradition since. People will choose to complain that the trailer was captured on top-end workstations running settings that might never be exposed to the user, forgetting that many of their favourite games/publishers would have just sent build and assets to an FX house months ago and left them to it. Better surely to have something legit that will still look amazing ten years down the line.
Part of me kind of misses the San Andreas era games which were simpler and more idealised but that's probably nostalgia talking. San Andreas is also the closest I've ever come to actually finishing one of these.
Hopefully ChatGPT has come along far enough by release to write all the op-eds and posts on gender roles in the game. Then we can invent another AI to read them all.
