Inside that lovely metal cage was this.
And if you didnt know what it was from those pics, the art & manual should give it away
Id given up finding a western version of Point Blank 3 (short of killing Tim & then digging it out of his grave) so thought this was the next best thing.. managed to hunt down a copy in the states & after some long negotiation and a fair amount of ££££ it arrived today.
This kinda completes the series for me.. although i will never be 100% satisfied until I get a western copy or replace the ROMs on this one to turn it into full English.
Will add a youtube video of its first boot on my test rig as soon as it has finished processing.

Really happy to see that you managed to get one. I've still yet to play mine properly in the reassembled cab, I only had a short fiddle after it arrived and I was fixing it.
The other guy whose name escapes me at the mo did say he was going to have his board dumped for MAME and I know he had a PB3 US so the ROMs should be out and about at some point.

I did see that both GNN1 Gunbalina & GNN2 Point Blank 3 roms are now dumped which is good but I don't fancy trying to re-rom it due to those tiny surface mount chips
In fact I wounldnt know where to start getting some burnt in the first place.
The Filter board is very different but it looks like good old Namco have included the same plugs as PB1 & 2 use and simply mapped the connectors to the new plugs as well as the old, so in theory it should just plug & play with a PB1 cab.
I also got the Jap wiring diagram with the pack and this seems to confirm my theory but will need to check with multimeter before I plug it in.

Would That be me by any chance? I have (apparently) the only working English language point blank 3 board. The other If i remember was sent to be x-ray'd for mame dumping?...
